Town of Sheridan Announces Road Repair Efforts Following Roadway Acquisition

Sheridan, IN – The Town of Sheridan is making significant strides in improving local infrastructure as it takes on expanded responsibilities for road maintenance. As of January 1, the Town officially assumed control of roads previously managed by Hamilton County. 

Under the leadership of Director of Public Works Scott Kirby, the Public Works Department has been diligently addressing road repairs across the community. Their efforts have already resulted in noticeable improvements, enhancing safety and accessibility for residents and visitors alike. 

“We’re proud of the dedication and hard work Scott Kirby and his team have shown,” said Si DeVaney Town Council President. “This transition marks a new chapter in how we care for our roads, and we’re committed to meeting the needs of our growing community.” 

The Town of Sheridan (the Town) is seeking proposals from a consultant or consultant team (the Consultant), to provide professional services in the areas of land use planning, zoning, and infrastructure planning for the Town in the form of a Comprehensive Plan and Thoroughfare Plan. The Town has budgeted $125,000 for both projects.
